Faith Formation 2026-2027

Welcome to Faith Formation at Saint Boniface! We are excited to be part of your family’s faith journey.

Class Information:

Classes are held during the school year on Sundays from 9:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. We offer classes for students from pre-kindergarten through Confirmation (9th grade), as well as the post-Confirmation Partners in Faith program.

We will begin the 2026-2027 year with a parent/student Open House on Sunday, August 30, 2026. The first class will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2026. The final class of the year will be on Sunday, May 2, 2026. Holiday breaks will coincide with the schedule for the Effingham County Schools.

Registration fees (the early registration fee is $25 per student and is offered through August 15, 2026. After this date, the fee is $50 per student). Financial assistance is available; please contact the Director of Religious Education, Sara Folland.
Baptism certificate copy if the student received the Sacrament of Baptism at another parish (if not already on file).

Sacrament Preparation:

At Saint Boniface, students must complete two consecutive years of Faith Formation classes before receiving First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion or Confirmation.

Confirmation:

Faith Formation students begin preparing for Confirmation in seventh grade. Confirmation takes place in the fall of ninth grade.

A mandatory parent/student meeting for grades 7-9 will be held on Sunday, September 13 during the regular class time.

First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion:

There will be a mandatory parent meeting on Sunday, January 10, 2027 for those with student in grades 1 and 2, as well as any other students preparing for First Reconciliation/First Holy Communion. This meeting will take place in the parish hall during the regular class time.
